Life at Plume

At Plume, we believe that technology isn't about moving faster, it's about making life’s moments better. Which is why we’ve built the world's first, and only, open and hardware-independent service delivery platform for smart homes, small businesses, enterprises, and beyond. Our SaaS platform uses WiFi, advanced AI, and machine learning to create the future of connected spaces—and human experiences—at massive scale.

We now deliver services to over 60 million locations globally and have managed over 3 billion devices on our platform. We’re expanding rapidly, pioneering a new category, and we achieved our Series F funding in just four years. Our customers include many of the world's largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who look to Plume to help them evolve their smart home offerings while gleaning insights from their own data.

With a bias for action and a love for being trailblazers, the team at Plume embodies a combination of relentless curiosity and imaginative innovation. We challenge ourselves to think in ways that other companies don't, work to do what should be done (rather than what can), and if we can’t do it exceptionally well, we don’t do it. It’s how we've assembled a team of world-class builders, thinkers, and doers. And it’s how we’re reinventing what’s possible every day.

  • Identify gaps, complexities, risks, and dependencies in proposed implementations
  • Translate collected technical information, use cases, and deployment requirements into clear, precise, and comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Define scope boundaries, deliverables, required resources, timelines, assumptions, and dependencies for all proposed services engagements
  • Estimate the level of effort (LOE) for all Professional Services activities, including scoping labor hours, required skills, timelines, dependencies, and potential risks
  • Analyze existing customer networks (access, core, CPE, OSS/BSS, protocols, and supporting systems) to ensure end-to-end solution alignment with Plume’s platform
  • Lead technical conversations with ISP customers to understand their goals, challenges, network architectures, operational processes, and business drivers
  • Support the proposal process by ensuring SOWs, LOEs, and solution descriptions are accurate, feasible, and aligned with Plume’s delivery capabilities
  • Collaborate with Professional Services leadership and Delivery team to validate LOE estimates and ensure consistent estimation methodology across engagements
  • Provide customer insights to Product teams to influence roadmap and feature development based on real-world ISP requirements
  • Maintain deep understanding of Plume's product portfolio, architecture, APIs, data models, service delivery mechanisms, and integration points
  • Research and stay up to date on the most recent industry standards and trends, emerging technology in network and server engineering, and have a fundamental understanding of the principles of networking and cloud architectures
  • Assess how Plume solutions can be best deployed, configured, and integrated into ISP environments to maximize customer success and network performance
  • Help in researching and developing new products based on customer-specific needs
  • Understand business requirements involved with technical account strateg

Qualification Requirements:

  • 8+ years in a technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or professional services role, preferably with ISPs or network technology vendors
  • Strong understanding of ISP networks, including access technologies (DSL, Fiber, DOCSIS), CPE architectures, Wi-Fi, routing, switching, security, cloud architecture, micro services, OSS/BSS systems, and common network protocols
  • Proven experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into technical documentation or SOWs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and deliver high-quality documents under tight timelines
  • Experience with API integrations, automation and/or integration workflows, and data analytics

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud-managed network solutions or large-scale Wi-Fi deployments

  • Background in customer-facing consulting or professional services delivery

Success Indicators:

  • High quality SOWs and estimation that drive smooth project delivery
  • Positive feedback from Sales and Customers on technical engagement
