Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Quad – CR/T Facility, Hartford, WI

Pay:$28.00 – $32.00 / hour, based on relevant experience and work history

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, with overtime as business needs require

Important: This position is located at Quad's CR/T (Chemical Research & Technology) facility in Hartford, WI—not the Quad print manufacturing campus off Highway 60.

Experience Required: This is an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position. Candidates should have an Associate's degree in a related field or five or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.

Position Summary

Quad is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our CR/T team in Hartford, Wisconsin.

In this role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain the mechanical equipment used in our chemical manufacturing processes. Working with pumps, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment, you'll help maximize equipment reliability while supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing operation.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical processing and manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, augers, pneumatic systems, and other industrial machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Install new equipment and support facility improvement projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Partner with operations personnel to maintain safe and efficient production.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in a related field or five or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience rebuilding rotary vane pumps.
  • Strong skills in pipe fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and blueprint reading.
  • Familiarity with metric measurements and mechanical tolerances.
  • Basic understanding of industrial electrical theory and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work at heights and safely operate high-lift equipment.
  • Must have, or be willing to acquire, basic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience with ink, resin, or chemical processing equipment is a plus.
